Fairy wrasse (sea fighter) chasing Clowns

Hi all. My fairy/seafigther wrasse keeps chasing my clowns. It does nip them but gets its dorsal fin out and sort of dances around them into a corner?

All para etc are fine and they have been together for 3months or so.

Any ideas?

I’m guessing you have Cirrhilabrus rubeus? It’s better to name wrasse with their scientific names as fish stores come up with their own names.

Yes. Fairy wrasse of the rubriventralis complex are known to display at other fish vibrantly. You could try and get another fairy wrasse so it can display with them but that could also start a fight. How big is the tank?

Thank you. When you mean display is it to show off not harm? Will it stress the clowns? Its 100L so not big enough for another.

Well that is your issue. That wrasse needs a bigger tank.

That size tank will soon be too small for any other fish once those clowns grow. Mine are starting to get a bit aggressive in my 120 gal.
