Fairy Wrasse Swimming Oddly.

He is more active with the white light, but in regular lighting, he will get close to the powerhead. He seems to be floating around.

These I can see. Pics are a bit distant and blurry but is there white marks on its sides? Feel like I see something.

Difficult to see the pictures, and I could only get one video to play. I see what @JGT mentioned - something on its sides. Could be missing scales from another fish attacking it, or perhaps marks from flukes? If you're sure no other fish has tagged it, you might consider that it has flukes. Did you run any sort of quarantine on it? Can you dose this tank with praziquantel?

I believe this is common with fairy wrasses which are collected deeper. Hence it’s more a swim bladder issue, there are threads where folks have tried to decompress with a 27 gauge needle.

mine did the same, started this weird upside down/vertical swimming, I kept feeding heavy, it somehow kept eating and recovered from whatever this was.

as long as she’s eating, keep feeding!

We got fish from a store that quarantines medically and is well renowned. They take care of the smithsonian tanks and they cleared the fish before purchase. He was fine for the first week. This has only started to happen.

Looks like a spinal injury to me from crashing into something. doesn't look super bad to me, so hopefully it heals
