I have a small false clown fish in a fish only tank. I have thought about adding a fake anemone for him. I had read that they may or may not host a fake anemone, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try. However, I then read some reviews that the fake anemone had toxic effects on the tank. Are there any brands that are safe that won't leach anything harmful into the water?

you can use soft corals instead, such as xenias and toadstools.
My clown currently hosts the thermometer at night ;Hilarious
Awh! Your clown sounds like he has a lot of personality! Thank you for the suggestions. Are Xenias or toadstools fairly easy to care for?

YES. Xenias can probably grow with a flashlight tbh, but toadstools can be aggressive. They can release coral-killing chemicals. So xenias are better
