These guys came off of a coral that I dipped. Thought they were bobbits (would set up a small tank to see these monsters grow) but after much searching probably just Dorvilleidae.

hi,could not see video,just using imagination ;) :)

What did they look like? I just found at least 7-8 of these in my sump. A few people on a Facebook group are saying bobbit but I’m leaning towards dorvilleidae.

At least the one in the video linked has what appears to be a head with tentacles or something coming off it.
Medusa worm? You know a bobbit when you see one, no doubt after you see one irl and not just in photos. I think if it were a bobbit it’d be in the sand or under rocks and very evil looking. These guys are a little too small and nice looking

that’s what I was hoping to hear. Should I still pick up a trap to get rid of them or maybe just cut back on feedings and see if that works? They’re also in my sump so there’s no sand or rock (just detritus buildup and a marine pure block).

Leave em as cuc, pick em out with tweezers, buy/make a trap to get them out, get a fish/invert that eats them... lots of stuff to do with them if you think they’re undesirable :)

As long as they stay in the sump I don’t necessarily care. If it’s something I’d need to worry about if they made their way to the tank I’d want to remove. Though they’d have to be pretty small to go through the return pump and hopefully my wrasse would eat them.

20X microscopy was too blown up LOL it was creepy.... yeah those don't look like bobbits to me either. But I don't like any of these creepy crawlies, so they all get flushed
