Fake online sale prices....

Hi all,
Just received an email from a pet supply company (that also has land based stores) that they
has a site wide 30% sale going on for the next few hours. (just a hint.....you would not
want to ever buy ANY livestock from this store!) So I check out their salt prices.
They have taken 30% off the price of some outrageous original price that I dont believe
they have ever sold the salt for. In fact most of the other sites selling the same salt online
are still cheaper then this 30% off price they came up with. To me that is totally unethical and
I am pretty sure illegal in some states. Anyway I sent them a nasty email to make myself feel better..lol
Sorry for the rant....but I just hate when company's try to advantage of people. Not that they all
do...I have had many great shopping experiences online. Maybe because I have seem them sell "Gold Fish"
water for 20 bucks a gallon I hold a little ill will.

I just noticed the exact same thing!! Reef Crystals 200-gallon box - regular price adjusted so that the 30% off price puts it right back near the "real" regular price. AND it doesn't qualify for the free over $49 shipping... bah

I was so psyched for a few minutes after I received that email because I was just looking at salt prices yesterday and
pretty much everywhere online is within 5 bucks of each other so I figured 30% would be a no brainer! Then I saw the "original price"
We has stores around here have sales like that all the time until they started cracking down on it. Anyway, I sent them a email...we
will see what they say....if anything.

Unless it is an absolute emergency I never go there anyways. I get all my dry stuff from either BRS or Amazon and I would never buy any livestock from there.

I agree that it is a jerk move pricing things like that. But thats what department stores and lots of businesses do... They always have sales going on, you think you're getting a good deal but really the sale puts it at normal retail price. Jerks.

Here is some "Betta" water....comes out to $16.76 a gallon. That would only be about $1200 to fill my 75...what a deal!
