Fallen off frogspawn heads and what to do

Update:
The hard disc is now much thicker and started separating into different pieces. Maybe it’s trying to divide into multiple heads?
there is enough skeleton now that it’s heavy enough so I can place the head on a rock and it won’t float away with the waves.

That is really cool. Thank you for sharing and I am glad I saw this page. This just happened to me last night. No idea why. I think with the addition of my new doser the things I have had in my tank are not happy with me as I try to get parameters a little more in line. I found a head last night and put it in an acclimation box so I will go ahead and leave it in there and see what happens as well. As of right now it is just a floating head of frogspawn. No other heads have fallen off yet so I hope that remains the truth. Appreciate your reporting back! I will also report back what happens with mine although it sounds like it will be a couple months.

Good luck! Post some pictures of your progress if you can. Would like to see if this can be easily reproduced.

5 months since last update.

The other day I knocked over a rock by accident and noticed that the fallen off head had fused itself to the rock I placed it on months ago. It's also now pretty visible that it has split into several heads.

Also. I was fragging a frogspawn about a month ago and another head fell off. So I used coral clay to make a small bowl and dropped it in, now after a month this one also grew a skeleton.
