With this hot weather we have been having here in new england, my fans can't seem to keep my tank as cool as i would like. I have a red sea reefer 170. My issue is i want it to be discreet IE in the sump cabinet . i have two petzilla fans rated for 20 gallons each but still tank gets up to 79.7-80 which i prefer to run it 79-79.4 (via apex). Any one have any other options for fans that will fit in the cabinet? i bought a 6 inch clip on from walmart but cant find a place to put it where it is stablized. Thanks!

I used zip ties to hang the wal mart clip fans over my sump. Secured them to whatever I could find under the stand. Managed to fit two under my 29g. Maybe get creative with some zip ties and other weird fasteners? They definitely move some air.

Hmmm never thought of that, I will check but I don't think I have a way to hang above. Thank you

There’s gotta be something under there to zip tie around. Use lots :)

Hope this helps, I screwed a strip of wood on the rear of the stand for my Walmart fan. It's the 6" one too and keeps my tank under 79.2. I also have a computer fan on the other side to pull air out as well. I plugged them into same outlet in Apex to click on when temp goes above 78.5.
