Fan help

I have two computer fans on each of my LED heatsinks. All 4 fans, which are independent of each other are out. Why would this be? I plug them in and nothing happens. Would it be the fans, or the power supply thats broken?

Anyone have any idea how to fix it or have advice on some different fans to pick up.

wierd, it sounds like the power supply, they can crap out pretty easily. Try cleaning the fan of any dust and clearing its path.

Get rid of any dust around the fans,

get yourself a voltmeter, check and make sure of the output voltage if any. once you have determined if the power supply is good or not, proceed from there. If the power supply is good, make sure the fans are the correct voltage as they do come in different sizes, i.e... 6v, 9v, 12v, 24v are the most common. your fans are more than likely 12v, if you are using one power supply, you have probably exceeded the max ma rating for that cube, you may need to run the fans in parallel to let them all receive the full 12v.

I replaced the power supplies and they work now. What would make the power supply go out?

trying to pull more power than it can supply can cause premature failure of the transformer. there should be watter or amp ratings of the fans, add them all up, if amps compare to the ma rating of the wall plug, 1amp is 1000ma. if watts divide watts/volts to get amps. .5 = 500ma
