Can anyone share their experience with fang blennies and their aggressiveness towards tank mates? Several sources list them as “semi-aggressive” but it notes this is likely only towards similar shape / size fish. I am considering adding a Striped or Kamohara Blenny and trying to determine compatibility. Any insights to share?

Tank 40g / 3ft
Plenty of hiding spaces / rock work
Pair of clowns
Juvenile yellow coris wrasse
Royal gramma

I have a striped blenny and a harptail blenny in my 40 breeder. I like them a lot. They shared a quarantine tank and my fish guy said they were buddies and he was right. Not introducing at same time, could be different.

I also have a pair of percs, a quickly growing yellow coris, a possum wrasse, and a court jester goby.

No issues.

In person a smiths blenny is a beautiful fish as well.

Doubt I’ll have a reef tank without a fang blenny after my current experience.

I think they are awesome.

I have smiths blenny in my 34 and it's a model citizen. I also have 2 clowns, royal gramma, purple firefish, yellow watchman, springeri damsel, priolepsis cave goby and he pretty much ignores them all. Just cruises in and out of the rock looking for snacks.
