I have a thing for redtails! A really sweet baby RT got me over my fear of snakes (well ALMOST over it).

ty, he thinks he’s a little cobra

Sure looks like one bad nope rope!

Welcome!

Welcome!

that’s awesome you had a positive interaction with a red tail to alleviate your fear of snakes!!

just had my boy out and he was chilling on my shoulder while I checked on all the other critters. totally docile, even with my 2 cats around. it’s not uncommon for him to be coiled around my arm just hanging out when I’m watching TV. as they say “puppy dog tame,”...that is unless your hands smell like his food. then not so tame haha

Welcome!!
I used to have a Pied Ball Python and a Brazilian Rainbow Boa before I had to move.
I’ve also been tossing around the idea of starting a dartfrog paludarium.

ohh! pied is one of my fave morphs, especially banana pied. rainbow boas are sweet. my parenter is getting one sometime this month I think.

dart paludarium is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. crazy how a small return pump and some rocks can turn into a beautiful water feature in a display

They’re super nice!
My friend has a 40 gal paludarium with darts and it makes me want to set one up everytime I see it lol.

Hi! Gonna love this place and the people!
I have done snakes (moved and couldn’t take them with me, raised their dinner too, fresh is best!) did iguanas as well and then moved again so found them a good home! Have had freshwater before. Have had dogs and cats! Currently have two dogs, two kittens (they will be with me as soon as they are old enough!) and my 16g biocube with 2 clowns, a mandarin dragonet, and two shrimp!

Welcome to R2R and back to reefing. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed.
My eldest son loved snakes. We had garter snake, Burmese python, and corn snake. He bought the corn snake when he was 14. He’s now 42 and it’s still going strong.
