Tried to start a pico reef as cheap as possible. Been out of the hobby since 2016.
3g marine land contour $59
Lominie Led light $58
Using stock return pump but have intentions of upgrading to a stronger pump.

filled the tank up with live sand and rock on feb 17th and testing no ammonia after initial spike but still high nitrates and nitrites.

Currently. I added frags and copepods. Night lights are on. Probably won’t add fish for a couple months more focused on the coral stocking at the moment

Not really I personally wouldn’t put anything in a 3 gallon tank. Maybe a clown goby?
