FarmerTy's 215-gallon SPS Tank

Its nice when they are already gorgeously colored when I buy them and then drive home with them. Thanks for the frags bud!

Oh yeah, for sure! I knew the species was not even the same between the two but to see it in person, it's obvious.

Now what to name the other one.... Hmmm....

you were 5 mins from me and didn't even stop to say hi?? jeez....

Hahahahaha...if it makes you feel any better I think I just sold my last one!
Just send me a picture of the person leaving your house with it and a newspaper with the date on it. Then I'll swing by!

Thanks for the info on the bugs! Are you still shipping frags at all?

Copps 24k mille... Thought it was just a myth but I'm starting to see gold tips.

Interesting... One of my Baton Rouge frags has green polyps... Like in @bubbaque tank.

Woohoo! Thanks for confirming it! What lights do you keep your under? Also what par?

ATI Powermodule 54W 8 bulb with reef bright VHO's. There in 350 to 320 range.
Nice! Once it gets bigger, I'll move it to the display and let it cook under my ATI sunpower with two actinic bars. Thanks for sharing!

Keep cooking mine so when I get it i can say mine looks as good as bubbas and Ty’s

This is why I hate orange filtered shots. Public service announcement... If you ever see glow in the dark corals and a really dark background... Its an orange filter that doesn't really even show how they look like under pure actinics.

This is my frag tank under an orange filter. No, it doesn't look like this in person though a picture like this may get more attention. Nice piece of artwork but not realistic.

I totally agree. Like Bubba, I use a brown filter but take my pics under full daylight (AB+ schedule). This gives me realistic photos that look like what I'm seeing in person.

Nice post, Ty! Spread the word to hopefully get rid of those type of pics that people use to sell coral.

Thanks guys. I'm glad to know others feel the same way or noticed the same thing. I put the filter on and was like... Wow... Looks cool... But resembles nothing like what I see in real life. So to me, it's very misleading to others on how ones tank looks in real life.

That's not even going into the selling frags aspect of it... Which it seems more prevalent when I jump on the Facebook groups.

Here's a video I shot with the same filter. Again, NOT at all what I see in real life so it is highly misrepresentative of my frag tank.

I see so many of the photos shot with an orange filter and no attempt to try and correct it back. It drives me crazy. Sometimes I want to save the photo and correct it in photoshop just to see what the coral really looks like. Really really really bugs me when I see the orange filter photos on for sale posts.
