Good to know, it's only had the greenish tint on the body and tips since the new tank (and lighting). Maybe it's just working on it's suntan.

I can’t remember the conditions that caused it but I do remember it looking like your picture for awhile.

Alk - 9.7 dKh (running higher now)
Ca - 440 ppm
Mg - 1380 ppm
NO3 - 25 ppm
PO4 - 0.05 ppm
Salinity - 34 ppt
Temp - 77-78
pH range - 8.1-8.3

Ditched denitrator and Biopellets so going wild wild west with nitrates right now. Just skimmer, Gfo, carbon.

I do water changes now to the tune of 25% every couple months to inoculate my backup system with my old tank water and to remove detritus buildup in the frag tanks.

Did you raise the alk since your nitrates are higher now? How much GFO are you using to keep it there at 0.05?

Did you raise the alk since your nitrates are higher now? How much GFO are you using to keep it there at 0.05?

I raised it for faster growth now that I’m not running carbon dosing anymore and have to keep below 8 dKh. Twelve pho spoon scoops... I’ll measure it next time in a more accepted method of measuring.
