Very nice Ty! Is this “Rock Candy” just a rebranded Brain Freeze?Beautiful! Mine came from a local so I’m bringing it back up to shape. Yours look great!
Now down to a serious question about acropora husbandry. And if this is one of your trade secrets then I want you to know that I respect that... but how do you source all these theme specific gifs? Just so impressive I have to ask. We all want to know, so I will be the brave one.
I'm not sure, but I bet that Brandon got it from Ratha, as Ratha is the only one bringing in Malaysian pieces as far as I know...Very nice Ty! Is this “Rock Candy” just a rebranded Brain Freeze?

Agreed. It’s too small for me to say if it looks like the brain freeze yet.I'm not sure, but I bet that Brandon got it from Ratha, as Ratha is the only one bringing in Malaysian pieces as far as I know...
That would be an interesting thing to find out. The speciosa I remember seeing before didn’t look like these variants from “Malaysia”. It’s really the polyp color contrast that is so visually amazing in person. Just gorgeous and nothing like anything we’ve seen in the hobby. I’d collect them all if I could. They seem to be finicky about parameters though. I heard Shane lost his main colony of his that he was selling. I lost my Brain freeze when I switched to the denitrator. They don’t seem to be the most durable but maybe some more time getting used to aquacultured conditions will help ease that as time goes on.Looks amazing both @FarmerTy and @SawCJack00 .
I wonder what is so special about speciosa collected in Malaysian coral reefs that’s not in Indonesia ? Is it isolated geographical morph ? I mean we have seen Acropora speciosa for a long time in the hobby - but they have never commanded such prices until “Malaysian” acropora name became popular .
Hey Ty, how high are you mounting those lights off of the water? I am trying to get a feel for how high to mount a T5 hybrid w/o too much light spill.A behind-the-scenes glimpse at my separate backup system.

And as much as I collect mostly deep waters , I can only afford once you start selling themThat would be an interesting thing to find out.
