Well, saw a challenge and dived head first into it.

I introduce you to acropora abrotanoides, aka the acro that will turn brown and die on you, and acropora spathulata, aka why did you just throw money away?

They both have terrible survival rates but I thought it would be a fun challenge. I actually had an abrotainoides growing about 2 years back but lost it when I shuffled some acros around. Hopefully I'll get growth and color off this guy aa well.

Well, that experiment ended quickly. In hindsite, I should have maybe gone with a less harsh dipping process for these sensitive acros. I dipped in Bayer for 20 mins, 2 hrs of potassium dip, and 2 hrs of interceptor before adding to tank.

Let me introduce you to my new experiment, can I keep an abrotanoides alive... [emoji6]

If that video was an hour long I think I would have watched the whole thing. I love how you haven't packed your tank with fish so you get to see the neat characteristics of each one. I love the blenny and his little perch! I also love how you've spaced your corals apart... did you follow some sort of plan for that or did you just eyeball it?

Thank you for the compliment! I definitely tried to give my corals space to grow but they are starting to really encroach each other now. There was no real plan, I just aimed to distribute growth forms and color as well as I could. Basically try to keep same colors apart and have some tabling forms grow below stags that grow straight up. I definitely was a fan of minimal aquascaping and resisted as much as I could to pack the tank full.

Fish on the other hand will get a bit denser as I am slowly rounding out my final population. There will he an assortment of anthias and butterflies left to add before I'm all done.

Do I hear you saying you need to get a bigger tank???
