FarmerTy's 215-gallon SPS Tank

Thank you for the encouragement. You'd be surprised how often I'm that close to shutting down the thread. While I do enjoy posting about the tank and interacting with other like minds, two young kids and now a pandemic does make it difficult to keep up with the thread sometimes. When I see just one or two likes on some pictures posted or a video, I sometimes question if I should still expend the effort.

But posts like these keep me going. Thanks a lot for the kindness and taking the time to send me some positive vibes!
I'll keep the likes coming ;)

I don't "like" or reply very often but I see every post and GREATLY appreciate it!! So much inspiration and motivation to keep pushing my own tank!

So, Thank You!

Put down the keyboard and step away from the delete button! :D All seriousness though your thread is one of few that I follow and I look forward to checking out new pics and updates. Please keep em coming!

Dude, you have no idea! The amount of interaction you get on your build is huge, imagine somebody just starting out?! I've had builds where I've literally just been talking to myself for pages at a time.

There's also the entire "documentation" thing. Being able to go back and see when you had success, or failure, and what things used to look like. I always think my acros aren't growing, then I see pictures from even just a few months ago, and it's visible progress.

Anyways, I always enjoy your posts, your collection is inspiring, and I guess your photo skills aren't half bad. Keep it up!

Oh wow, thanks guys. You guys are a hoot! Thanks for the encouragement and for helping me see that it’s at least making some days a little more enjoyable for some. I’ll keep at it!

Sexy Corals Orange Passion - can’t ever post this one too much. I love it!

Hey Ty, is that the SCOP you got from Uchin? I got the Solar Flare and WD from him, SF died in an experiment and almost lost the WD but it's back strong now. Man I miss the SF, that thing is nuts under blues.
Do you have the RMF Diablo?
Brian J banked your Lava Monster with me ahead of his move.....doing well and very nice!
Hang in there with the kids at home. We have two teenagers at home currently!

On the bright side, at least you get a couple likes and a little conversation. A lot of build threads get no attention. Mine is a "virtual ghost town"
Cheers! Mark

I don't often hit the like button, but I do look forward to when you post updates on this thread. I am hoping that mine can one day look half as good. Once I get the stand for the tank delivered I am ready to fill it up.

Thanks again for putting in the effort to keep this thread updated and for all the pictures that are going to put me in the poor house because of all the coral that I now have to have, but can't afford. LOL.

Hey Todd!

I actually got my original SCOP from Justin of NaCl but lost that and got a replacement from Jim of Jolt Corals. The Solar flare is very nice and a ridiculously fast grower. Great addition to any setup.

I feel like I had the RMF Diablo at one point but can’t find it in my collection any more. Either I lost it or I ... lost it. Lol.

I actually lost my colony of Lava Monster and got a frag back from RCA ... thanks to Brian... and starting to regrow it. It was my favorite red Mille. If you have a decent sized colony of Brian’s, let me know if you’re interested in doing some trading for a large chunk back. Would love to have it back in my display again as a colony.

I’m hoping you’ll tell me it gets easier with kids at home when they are teenagers but I’m guessing same amount of work but different problems. Haha.

I sadly don’t have the time I used to perusing others build threads like I used to. I actually miss it as it always help inspire me and gave me new ideas to try. I didn’t realize so many build threads get so little direct interaction though. I’ll stop my whine fest. :D

New tank builds are always exciting! I wish you well with it!

If it makes you feel any better, those pictures put me in the poor house too! :p

Your pics. inspire and show me what is possible.

Hi Ty, yeah, teenagers are less work but much grumpier. :)

I just have a large frag size but growing on the LM. Brian has a pretty decent amount but his tank is parked at a shop pending his move, so maybe once he's done he'd be up for a trade. I'll hit you up as mine grows to see where you're at.

I hope your day job is doing okay with this darn virus.

Thanks a ton Todd! I can handle grumpy. Tantrums is what I want to get away from and move towards not waking 3 times in the middle of the night. Be a bit before that happens but a guy can dream.

Day job definitely taking a hit but I’m not going to complain. We are doing okay and there’s people out there who have it waaayyyy worse. Be safe and take care of yourself.
