Keep the awesome pics coming! And if I ever finish my build and get water in the tank, I’m coming after some of those! :p

Coral Euphoria Raspberry Smoothie - it really color morphed under higher par. I actually like it better!

WWC Ari’s Avalanche - color morphing a bit. Curious if it’ll go super blue like in some pictures I’ve seen.

That's a really nice group!

What’s the top one is it like the blue monster?
I believe it’s a granulosa but will find out as it grows into more of a colony. Not the same as the Pengs blue monster in growth form so far.

Just a large skimmer and GFO. I was using a biopellet reactor for 6-7 years but stopped using it. Then went to a sulfur denitrator but my system was not keen on that. So running nothing now but GFO and ROX carbon.

Tried out the new Orphek clip-on filter with my iPhone. Not too shabby for a quick snap. It comes with a 15k and 20k filter to cover your bases for blue shot or full spectrum. Nice bonus to have a macro lens and polarizing filter to try to remove some of the glare. Not professional quality by any means but still a bit helpful.

What's that orange goo in the food mix Ty? I need to start making my own. I'm at like 5 flats a month. Could you gimme a breakdown of the fresh seafood there, and do you toss it all in the blender? I'll think of some more questions while you're knocking out these answers...

I fly by the seat of my pants with the food. I just go to my local grocery store and see what nice selection of fish they have, add shrimp, squid, shellfish, oysters, and whatever seafood mix I can find at the Asian market. The orange stuff is fish roe for sushi... I just rinse until it washes most of the added sugar and food dye out of it.

I then add thawed mysis of various sizes and thawed bloodworms to the mix.

The squid I tried to blend as well as I could. It’s tough. The fish I chop into small squares and do a light blend to cut it slightly smaller. I don’t go full blend on it... it’ll go to mush otherwise.... same with the shrimp.

The rest I mix together and don’t blend. Made the mistake of blending everything when I first did this and my fish ate fish meal porridge for several months because of it. They still haven’t forgiven me for that.

Cool, thanks Ty. We have a huge Asian market with tons of seafood close to home, so I will have to make a trip soon.

I love making my own food! I’m still perfecting it in regards to the volume of each ingredient (12 ingredients for both fish and corals) but the fish and coral obviously love it. Thanks for posting your ingredients!

I love making it until I have to smell it. :-)

are those with the fliters and iPhone too? Any editing?
Those are all iPhone with the Orphek filter... using the 15k. Only editing was exposure as the pictures were a little dark.

It doesn’t capture the color perfectly but for a quick snap, doesn’t do half a bad job of it.

Colors look slightly muted and have a slight pink tint to it.
