FarmerTy's 215-gallon SPS Tank

Sorry 'bout that. Yes, the Confetti, my bad.
No, it’s not normally that dark. Confetti got beat up in my first go-around with the denitrator and base went super dark. It has recovered but the base just stayed dark. All new growth is light.

How does it grow? They seem really unique
It’s been a bit slow for me. Right now mine is growing into a giant block with short branches. It’s about the size of a large orange.

@CCauthers I took a picture last night of it. It’s a strange beast but pretty. It’s been this and also been entirely bright pink as well.

The branching cyphastera you sent me a couple of years ago is a super cool piece. Mine has been in pretty heavy flow and grown in to a big ball with stubby branches, so I moved it to less flow recently to see if I can get more branching to happen

That’s awesome? Got a picture of it? Always curious to see how things look in different tanks.

Spent election week starting the thread from the beginning again, as I had fallen a few months behind. You don't need another person telling you how great everything looks, but how do you keep your pictures so bright shooting at a high f/ and low ISO with your brown lens? I've been trying, but I can't get light enough/not noisy enough pics without a super high (<.5) exposure time.

Haha, thanks. Hopefully the thread helped with any anxiety with election week.

Here are my settings for this picture of my RR Red Bull.

ISO 1250
Exposure time 0.01 secs
F/5.6
I shoot with 100% on my Radions running AB+ and 2 T5 Blue+ bulbs and 2 T5 actinic bulbs. Par is roughly at 350-500 on most of the shots. Using a Nikon D5300 with a Neewer Brown filter and WB set to “Shade” setting. Nails down the color pretty well with minimal post processing needed. Mainly cropping and adjusting for exposure and slight adjustments on temp depending where in the tank I took the shot.

I hand shoot everything with a Avast Marine look down tube for my Laowa 60mm macro or my Tamron 90mm macro.

I’ve been experimenting to taking blue pics but not all blues. I turn on and leave my T5 bulbs on with the Radions set for all blues. I would imagine this comes out as a little bluer than 20k. Maybe a good compromise between those that love full spectrum pics and those who love all blue pics

They all look terrible! I think you should rip them out of the tank and dispose of them. Please find attached the address for the official Farmer Ty coral disposal site.... ;) .
Nice pics!
You got it! There is a disposal fee. I’ll send you my Venmo.
