I just found a few vids on Youtube that are really good and tell how clams are farmed. Check em out!

Awesome man, nice find. If I wasn't so tired I'd watch them both right now

It'll have to wait until tomorrow.....

Is it just me..or were those clams shipped without water? I've never ordered clams before...is that how they're shipped?

Yeah I noticed that there was no water too, made me wonder what the DOA rate was. Every clam I have gotten has came in water unless the bag got damaged.

OMG!!! THe thing that impresses me about this is comparing what they did to the ocean off of the break. Obviously, they cleared out a path to cultivate some of the clams, but look what it looked like a couple years ago! Crazy!

They aren't using the ocean adjacent to the facitity as a grow out nursery anymore. My friend went to buy some clams from one of the farmers, and he took him to his land where they took a small row boat out to pick out some of the clams.

I do, I'll post them later. I thought I had more than I did, overall, they really aren't to impressive (concrete troughs), but being there is!

I need to clean my clam same the way they did?

If you are talking about how they are scrubbing the clam in vid #2 at about 4:40 in, I generally take a toothbrush and gently scrub all new clams before I add them to my DT.
