Hello R2R!!
I found this documentary today. It's so interesting!
I've seen octopuses solve puzzles before and learn to camouflage into non organic environments, but I never knew they were this intelligent.
Turns out they are developing small groups where older octopus are teaching younger ones how to survive. They are able to observe others, understand what they are doing and learn from it. I know people who don't know how to do that and I'm not even joking! :P

Enjoy :)

My favorite animal in the ocean.

They are amazingly smart, but the heart break when they die after 9-12 months is just too much for me.

I used to keep an Octopi on a counter in my kitchen, she loved to interact with all the neighbors kids. I swear she was probably capable of cooking a meal just from watching me hour after hour.

Thanks for sharing. I too have always been fascinated by all four the cephalopods and agree with @Tahoe61 about them only living a couple years...that is. unless you go for the deep water guys such as the deep water octopus and nautilus, and keep your tank at about 40F.
