Recently my phosphates have have spiked and it is affecting my corals. Any idea on how to effectively and quickly remove the phosphate from the tank?

If it was me I would try phosguard because it is easy to use and readily available at my LFS or you could try GFO and of course water changes wouldn't hurt as long as your source is RO or equivalent.

Phosguard brings them down quickly.

RINSE IT VERY WELL IN RO WATER FIRST

I can keep nitrates at 0 per tests, but fight phosphate and use phosguard in a reactor.

Don't remover p04 too quickly....your corals will not be happy

As i personally never used lanthanum chloride but doin some research it will be more controlled at removing phosphate so you dont hurt anything to quickly

Phosguard for phosphates is an amazing product. Rinse like crazy and leave in for no longer than 48hrs. Works wonders!

+1 lanthanum chloride. It binds phosphate and creates a solid lanthanum phosphate. This can be removed with skimming and gravel cleaning.
