IMO, protopalythoas generally grow very fast. nuclear greens, purple deaths, down to the plain green button polyps. they seem to eat a lot... that's probably why.

and palythoas (bigger than zoanthids) like the pe's grow generally slower..

I have heard that PPE's grow incredibly slow. From personal experience my Darth Mauls are super slow as well. Had them for over 2 months with no new polyps, gonna try to feed a little more to see if they will sprout up some more.

Simple zoas like Eagle Eye, Dragon Eye, and Fire & Ice grow super fast for me. Once my AOG sprouted an extra they started growing like a weed as well, same with my Skittles(dunno if anyone here has seen these though).

PPE and Armageddons are slow for me. I think it's different for everyone. My purple death an nuclear greens grow like weeds!!

well for me king midas zoas, rde's are very very fast. my lunar eclipse are painfully slow. my candy apple pinks are very fast as well.

Nightmare's, PD, NG and Darth Maul are fast growers for me.
Envy Orange and macro size Rasta (from WhoDah) are by far the slowest growers in my tank.

How do you have your Darths placed? I really wish these things would grow out...

My envy oranges grow fast, but my PPE's and RPE's grow slow. Eagle eyes and sunflower zoas seem to be the fastest growers in my tank.

Thanks for the input. I started with 4 Rainbows , and 8 AOGs from reef kingdom on Dec 4th. They have doubled in two months I guess its about standard. I bought 10 mohawks from Aqua SD on Dec 16th and they have close to doubled. I have some zoas, cant id them but they grow like wild fire.

Don't mean to be a drag with the play of words, but in all reality, protopalythoas, palythoas are zoanthids. You probably mean zoanthus when refering to the smaller zoanthids that do not take the larger particles of foodstuffs. Zoanthus for example are Eagle eyes, Radioactive dragon eyes, etc.
