Fat and happy it just too fat?

My tangs will eat anything and always act hungry! I feed them one (sometimes if they are acting like they think they are starving at the end of the day I give in and give them another) sheet of Seaweed and a quarter size pice of Rogers Reef complete. They all seem really happy but they are pretty thick...just checking on popular opinion...too fat or fat and happy?

I think they prefer to be called big boned... Lol. Sally is looking pretty round, I would cut back just a little. It's nice seeing big happy fish

Lol! Yes..I mean big boned...or even fluffy..
Even the regal is getting a bit...ummm...big boned...but they seriously act like they are starving by the end of the day and it is a major fish parade in the morning as soon as I walk in the room...

I agree in that he/she looks "big boned" to me. I would think that like all creatures, too much weight is not a good thing over time in terms of health. I think it's normal for fish to always act hungry when we go near the tank. I'd suggest cutting back a little on the food. Tangs in captivity will never get the same exercise they can accomplish in the wild

Thanks for the input. Any suggestions on how much/how often and what to feed? I have a sailfin, a regal, a khole, two clowns, 4 neon bar gobys, and a flame tail blenny (and of course lots of snails and crabs)

I feed my fish about 2-3 times a day. As long as everyone got a bite then they should be ok.

I think 2-3 times a day - just enough that fish can finish eating within about 3 minutes or so. I would think one sheet or nori a day should be plenty depending on the size of the sheet.....it sounds like you're really not overfeeding by what you describe.
