Fat Head Dendro 911

Please help!!

I have a fat head dendro that has been doing very well in my tank but I just came home from a 10 day trip and it looks like it has been eaten?? Or maybe it's the way they look when they die. Anyway, while I was away I had my brother in law hand feed them every other day as I do when I am home. I immediately checked perimeters and they are as followed.

Inhabitants_
2 clown fish.
1 Yellowtail Blue Damsel
1 Pseudochromis
1 melanurus wrasse
2 banggai cardinal
1 fire shrimp
5-8 Snails
6-8 emerald crabs
1 anemone crab

Various other LPS etc


What I have done so far_
I did a 10 gallon water change and am slowly dosing the alc to get it to correct level. I have taken the dendro off the rock and placed it in a breeder encloser at the top of the tank. What else should I do? I love them and have overly catered to them so this would be a bummer if they don't make it.

Forgive me if any of this isn't clear I am a bit of a noob. If I had to guess I would say it is the emerald crabs or the peppermint shrimp, over night last night I came out and saw a peppermint shrimp sitting right on top of it and have see emerald crabs around it as well in the past. I know that when anything in the tank is weak or dying these guys will eat pieces of them. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

The shrimp probably got him....given time and proper nourishment they might recover....

I have no idea what would do that. I would have to agree It was lack of food and something was hungry. Id return it to a similar spot of flow and see if it recovers.
Shrimp are jerks and crabs are not to be trusted. IMO emerald crabs are big eaters and reports of them eating coral and fish abound, as well as death due to underfeeding.

Ive seen dendros recover nicely from the current state yours is in. Hows it look today? Its either nutrition issue, or yea something couldve ben picking at it. Id leave it where it is now, hopefully a head will start expanding and you can resume feedings again

I'll be honest with you the picture of them that looks the best there struggling there the tentacles should be at least twice that size I would look for flatworms or some other type of parasite
