Fat head Dendro help

How do I get this guy to open up? I've checked at night but it doesn't seem to ever open. I tried moving it to a little shadier spot and squirting some oyster feast in its direction but no change. It appears to be alive but just never opens. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried feeding it with a bowl over it?

Not sure where is yours at? Location in tank and light may not be happy mine is in decent flow on sand not really shaded gets pretty much a lot of light

The bowl trick works or cutting the bottom off a soda bottle works as well.

Feeding is the key to keeping these guys happy. I feed mine Coral Frenzy pellets, every other day. If they go to long without being properly fed they loose a lot of mass in the tentacles and will not open as much.

Also post some pictures of your dendro maybe something is agitating it?

That's kinda my concern, they don't really eat if they're not open but I've never seen it open, not even at night. I'll try the bowl thing and see if maybe that'll help.

Mine love high flow like under my mp10 so they are being suxked up and low light. I feed my dendros mysis shrimp and the Fauna Marin Ultra LPS pellets. How this helps you out.
