Fathead Anthias

Its time to add another fish to mix. I've been researching for several days now on fathead anthias. I'm only interested in getting one and they seem to do go alone. I'm getting mixed reviews though on tank size requirements. DFS says 125g is needed. Other places say 30g minimum. I've looked at a lot of websites and poured over the forums and it seems they the do alright in smaller tanks. I've got a 45g mixed reef. And peaceful fish. 1 Leopard wrasse, purple firefish, helfrich firefish, yasha hase goby, and a picasso pair. This will be the last fish to the mix. Does anyone have any experience with these? Is a 45g to small? Thanks in advance for the input.

Should ne fine. I had a single one in a 30 gallon for a year no problems. Traded it for coral when i upgraded.

I've never had one but always wanted one as well. Beautiful fish but I like you had always heard it needed to be in a large tank. May look into one.

I have one in my 40g. He's always out in the open, but can be quite shy and startled pretty easily. Can be a picky eater sometimes too. I have 3 other fishs in the tank (mystery wrasse, clownfish pair) and they are aggressive eaters and during feeding the sunburst would be on the other side of the tank waiting for a meal to come his way instead of feasting with the crowd. Though, this is my experience, not sure if it's the same for everyone else's. The sunburst is a beautiful fish, Im sure he'll do fine with your current stock list.
