Father was sold the wrong fish... (reef tank)

Hi all my father and I went shopping at a few fish stores and I put a blue throat trigger fish on hold for him about a month ago. Somehow he ended up going home with a small niger trigger... no agression yet. It's been in the tank for 1 month. My father wants to keep him but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it goes berserk. Any ideas on how to remove him?

Thanks guys.

ive always wanted to do a niger trigger, is he nice looking?
I've had niger triggers in my 75 gallon tank for over 20 years. They are always a favorite as their color is beautiful, green to purple, and they have very cool fin movement. They are typically very active and super easy to feed and disease proof. In my experience they do not tend to attack or eat small fish if well fed, but they may chase similar sized fish to establish dominance and territory and then back off. I'm a little nervous about behavior in my new reef tank (125) but will try to transfer 4-5" niger trigger when the tank is set up with some of the more peaceful fish established.

Yeah, if you do need to catch him a fish trap is pretty reliable.
Or find out where it sleeps. I've had decent luck netting them there. Also have been able to scoop them when they are going after food. Triggers in general that is. They seem to have more food drive than my other fish.
Hopefully it will work out and not need to be removed.
