if i am using Alage X, i understand that i need to stop using ultra phos, but can i just turn it off and when it is ready , i just turn it back on without throwing away the media ?

is it running in a reactor? i would just take it out. Are you running it for dinos? if so, take out the carbon too

So is it really need a skimmer when dosing? As my tank are skimmerless..

Algae X was the original name which was later renamed Dino X. So, yes they are the same.

@b3ja We recommend you run a skimmer during the treatment. The skimmer helps export the die off of the Dino and nuisance algae. We have a revised Dino X manual for download here:

If you let it dry, it will no longer be usable. Why not just keep it soaked in some tank water or FW for the duration of the Dino X treatment?

i understand from the manual that the dosage is every 2 day . i accidentally dose AF np pro and pro bio S last night and today the alage came back today . the last dose was on Sat . can i dose another round tonight ?
