Since we don't really know optimal concentrations of a lot of these minor trace elements (and some are believed not to be utilized at all by corals), best rule of thumb IME is simply to assess how well the aquarium/corals are doing, and if doing well, leave well enough alone.
I had my system ICP-OES tested once just for kicks when it was doing well and I had a few 'off' parameters (per the company's opinion), but since everything was doing well I didn't change a thing. And that was 2-3 years ago...and everything is still doing well
ICP can be a great tool if something is 'off' in the aquarium and the solution can't be found using regular deduction...that's when I'd consider using it again.

I would like to be able to back down on the AFR believe me it’s expensive but I like it was better than just 2 part. I Keeps everything so stable. Alk drops fast when I dose less a little AFR over 1 dkh a day with all the corals I have. My silica seemed high when TDS always shows 0 when I make it. I wonder how much if any is in AFR. Or my Ro filter needs replacing
Ok just got this back. 63 gallon tank, I do 5 gallon water changes bi monthly, using tropic Marin pro reef salt, I dose about 28 ml a day All For Reef to maintain levels and feed LRS nano to the fish and dose Red Sea AB+ 6 ml daily for the corals. TDS before rodi filter is 23 and 0 after filter. Got a bunch of orange on here should I be concerned? Everything seems happy

Hi, do 5 gallon per week water change maybe. I have a 46 bowfront with 30 gallon sump, around 60 gallons and do 5 gallons weekly. Just got my ICP results with lots of orange, zero trace elements, a couple major elements too high, calcium at 539 ( with my hanna test kit is 497), sulfur is very high at 1542 good range between 850 and 950. That is the only one I am concerned with. All my animals are fine except for my duncan. Just increase water change for now and recheck after 6 months. Your reef looks good. I also dose trace elements maybe once a week and still low?
