Doesn't bother any corals (like cleaner shrimp can) and minds his own business... but he stands his ground. He'll move out the way most of the time but if you mess with him he'll pinch the tar out of your hand. He was the size of a quarter when I got him, now if he stretched his big claws out he'd be about the size of a dollar.

Not that I've seen. Others might tho, haven't really heard too much about them attacking fish. He's by himself right now, I put him in my nano because I only had corals in there. Wanted something to feed... He was with several fish from a 1.5" six line to a 4.5" Caribbean tang for a while. Even shared a cave with a dwarf moray for the longest time. Mostly nocturnal, he'll move around a little during the day but he really gets active at night.

Those are probably the worlds most beautiful shrimp in your home! I have been wondering how to keep emperor Shrimps but have mixed feeling if they really need a seaslug or cucumber and which ones. Are they able to go on frozen foods?

The rule is if you have a CBS, then you only have one shrimp. Unless you have a bonded pair of CBS... I've seen people keep cleaners, fire and peppermint shrimp with a CBS, but it was in a large tank. Sexies are just too small to defend themselves.

I really like the look of CBS but they almost ate my 4" Wrasse so I sold it. I'm now planning on either the Zanzibar Boxer Shrimp (mini Peaceful CBS) or Blue Coral Banded Shrimp (Mini Peaceful Blue CBS)

I feel like I could do a 200 gal tank with only shrimp. I only have two snapping shrimp right now. I think they are a mated pair that came in on my live rock. But one is purple and the other red. Only ever got one photo op for them but thought there was something wrong as they never come out in the open. Turns out the one came out in the open to molt. The other hung close by as if it was guarding it. I see them occasionally under the rocks. Hear them nearly every day.

Had an orange mantis but before I could catch it a crab ate it. Hated that crab... My favorite was a cleaner shrimp I had years ago. It's fun to try and find something they WON'T eat.

Bingo Shrimp - Where do you get those awesome shrimp from? Are they all in one tank? Are there any parameters I should monitor to help my shrimp stay healthy besides the basics?
