I bought a favia last night at a local fist shop, deal so good I couldn't pass it up but the favia obviously needs a little help.

Around the edges some of the heads or polyps have died off. Bit the rest is ok, looks like there is some "skin" maybe coming off in other places.

Anybody have any advice on how to fix this guy and bring it back to a healthy condition?

I keep mine mid tank in 200 par. If you suspect bacteria infection then maybe a Kung fu dip.

Looks like old recession on certan spots, if so just keep it healthy and water parameters adequate and stable and it will be fine

I was wondering how much light they need.

I have an apple Jack's favia I had up high, mid 200's and it started to look like it was bleaching so I moved it down to the 150's area. Maybe I should move it back up. But I jusy got this new one yesterday, the lighting they had did seem a bit inadequate though.
