Favia not doing to good, any advice please.

As the title says I have a small peace of favia and it looks like its not doing too good. Its been looking this way for a few weeks now.

All my parameters are in the screen shot below.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It was dipped with coral rx. Its in 210 par measured with seneye reef par meter.

It never looked like it was doing much good from day 1, I've moved it around and tried high flow and low flow.

They are stressed from day one due to either shipping or just being moved to a different tank. Dipping in coral RX is good as it will help relieve some stress. I feel the lighting is your issue, 210 par is to high. I would try to find a spot that is roughly 100 par and let it acclimate first and then maybe move it to a higher par spot down the road. Low to medium flow and par between 80 to 100 is where I kept mine. Its a beautiful favia, we will do everything we can to help you keep it that way.

Thank you. its not glued in place so its quite easy to move around, the only lower par space I have available is the sand bed or under a over hang. Which would be best? Also do you think it would be worth another dip?

I always placed any lps on the sand bed initially and started to move them up and around as they cam out and showed me they were happy. I currently have a mixed reef, so I run a higher par tank and I currently have 2 torches and a hammer on the sand bed.

You could dip it again, but I would dip it in something that is Iodine based. I think, but not sure, that coral RX has som ein it, but in these cases I bought a bottle of Seachem dip as it states it on the bottle that its Iodine based to help with any infections and stress and such.

Hi just thought I would update you on my favia. Following your advice 1 week later its starting to look better, its now opening up which it wasn't doing before. As you can see by the photo its still not fully there yet but its clearly on the way. Thanks for your help it was really appreciated.
