the edges of this guy has been whiteish for a long time now it seems like they are turning green. That’s good right

It’s looking good. It’s probably new growth
 
It looks like it's changing color in response to your lighting, it looks very healthy! Favia can often show very different colors depending on where you place them, higher lighting may bring out certain colors or suppress others. I have had some that looked best in partial shade and other that looks better in full light.
 
It seems that for the longest time I had my whites at like 60% and my blues at 100%. About 2 weeks ago someone suggested that the whites were to bright. He suggested 45 for the whites and 68 for the blues. When I changed the lights everything started to look much better and the fish colors are much better as well
 
I would agree with the light change. Mine was doing fine and actually growing, but ever since I've lowered the whites a bit and added a bit of flow, mine now opens in the evening about 1.5 hours before the lights go out.
