favia or favites??

I picked up this frag last friday, just wondering exactly what it is.. im trying to have this cover my BB tank...

Looks like a favia. Also, orange leptoseris and encrusting montioporas look great as they grow on the glass.

LOL.. im the same guy asking about the health of my sunset monti in the sps threads.. we were talking about that

yea, im really pulling for that sunset monti.. ive had bad luck with easy sps in the past.. thats why i lowered my light intensity when i put it in my tank even tho the LFS had it running under kessils as well..

I noticed! Lol. I had a mystic sunset growing on a bare bottom with lepto and Rasta zoas, looked pretty cool. Regular sunset will look amazing once it takes off.

thats IF it takes off.. sps dont like me... i really wanna get a monti cap going too.. i tried that in the past, it grew but the color wasnt great at all.. and eventually it just didnt work out for me.. i dont remb what happened.. maybe too much light.. im gonna have to try monti cap again.. i think ill put it on the back wall
