Favia pests

Looking for recommendations on how i should eradicate these pests on this favia? Bayer dip or scrape them off? They have been there for a while and I wasn't sure what it was but they are getting larger. The coral itself is rather fleshy.

Pests? Maybe pick the coral up and put it in front of a powerhead for a second? (or aim one at it)

Just looks like some sort of algae on a dying skeleton. Time perhaps? GL.
