Question, so I have a 5 gal sps dominated tank. Mostly acros/digis. A beach bum Monti frag some chalices and a space invader. I was or am thinking about adding some favia frags to the tank but I'm unsure on whether to add them to the same rock my current corals are on or if I should start a new rock on the side and make a garden. I want something that can encrust the empty rock space and don't want to add zoas everywhere. Can anyone tell me if the favia could become an issue with the acros or will they keep at bay.

Hmmmm... Yeah I figured. Thanks for the reaffirmation.
All favias/favities are different i have several some have tons of tentacles at night and during feeding, some don't let to many out and can get closer to things. my space invader and nemesis have only a couple but they are thick and powerful, both favia/favities and chalices' grow pretty quick and are strong stingers i wouldn't put them anywhere near anything even other like corals. And the space invader could do better in lower light.

Oh OK. Sweet thanks. Yeah my chalices are on separate rocks as well. Should I move my space invader to the right side of my tank where the par is much lower I'm sure. My blastos seem to enjoy that side much better as well.

yeah favias are a poor choice for filling space. For that I think encrusting montis and porites would work better. Just about any LPS is gonna sting or digest nearby SPS. Could try blastomussa but those grow slowly under that kind of light.

Ah ok. Thanks... think I'll skip on the favia. And there's 2 blastos on the right side of my tank. Under lower par. They're doing just fine. One of them has hmmm last I counted 5 new polyps under the main skeleton.
