Favia showing white tissue.

Had this coral about two weeks now, got it from a friend and I’ve noticed small spots of white tissue. I have it in a low light low flow section of my tank. It’s basically shaded from the light. I’m working on getting my phosphates down, all other parameters are in good range. My other corals are doing good

1 Torch
2 Hammers
2 Frogspawns
1 Candy Cane (doing much better)
1 Zoa Frag
1 Trachyphyllia
1 Leptastrea

I also feed reef roids twice a week, sometimes 3. Is there anything else I can do or just let it be and let it heal?

It start showing a couple days after I got it. I read on here sometimes they turn white when growing new tissue. Could that be the case?

I'm not sure, could also be bleaching or a damaged spot if another coral stung it. What were your phosphates at? Just keep an eye on it, if its bleaching it will recede in those spots after a while. If its growth you'll notice the expansion for sure. If its a sting you'll just need to move it a little bit away from the culprit.

Phosphates currently at 0.5. He’s low on the sand in a semi shady spot, nothing around to sting it. I’ll keep my eye on it and continue working on lowering phosphates, thanks for the reply

I probably wouldn't worry about it then unless it got bigger and you see tissue recession. Phosphate at that level wouldn't so that imo. Happy reefing!

I thought it looked a bit sucked in too, glad someone else thought so. I wasn't too sure so I didn't say anything. I'm leaning towards a sting too because that's exactly how my monti looked after getting popped by my RBTA

This is as big as they get right now. The only other culprit could be my hermit crab. I’ll put him on a rack today

How far are they in relation to your frag? And is the frag completely in shade?

He was semi shaded, not fully shaded. I moved it forward a little to take the pic. I’m started to think my cleaner shrimp or hermit has been trampling him at night.
