What is happening to my favia? It has been well for three weeks, now the purple has melted into this pink and the green eyes have disappeared in that area.

It's in a protected area but I wonder if it could be too much flow.

What do you mean by protected area? All my Favia's tolerate high/Med flow without issues. What they don't tolerate at all is high light. Tissue receding is a good indication of to much light.

Strange because it was doing fine and I just turned my lights down.

I have high flow, but this favia is inside an alcove so it's not direct.

Not strange at all. Mine were doing great for about 2 months. Then the tissue on the tops started to recede. Moved them to a lower light area, now fully recovered.

It seems to be slowly coming back. It has absolutely stopped receding. My lights are definitely running too strong... I'm in the process of shortening my photoperiod and I reduced my whites even more.
