In the market for some new t5's for my AquaticLife 36 inch t5 4 bulb fixture. Currently have the old aquatic life bulbs which are on their last legs with about a year of on time. Time to upgrade to what I was looking at was the ATI bulbs. I really enjoy the actinic they offer however am unsure what would be best for coral growth in the long run. Would it cause problems to switch all the lights at the same time? Any advice is great!

I just switched mine to ATI blue+ blue+ coral+ purple+
Was actually looking at the same setup. However i feel I really enjoy the actinics. The color pop is really what reminds me of what I wanted when I came into this hobby. Unsure what to drop if I was to drop one at all. Also am unsure about those LED strips and whatnot people put on their lights.

blue + x 2, coral +, true actinic, will grow sps up top to middle and give you a nice pop. Only change 1 or 2 bulbs at a time. Also "burning in" of bulbs makes them last longer according to ATI.

Giesemann, 2 Azure and 2 Super Actinic, I combined mine with 3 Kessil 360we

Use an 8 bulb, but use 4 Blue +, 2 Coral +, 1 Purple and 1 actinic. Going to replace one of the coral + with an actinic for the 2 bulb channel. I really like the actinics a lot. Give good pop, but even better is adding the ReefBrite XHO blue strip, which will give you the best of T5's, plus a ton of extra light from the RB, and that pop we all like.

Blue+, coral+, blue+, coral+

I read a thread a while back where the owner of ATI made this recommendation for health and color of SPS corals. Everything you need is in those two bulbs. It’s what I run.

Depends on your preference. Some like more blue...while some like more white. I run 5 T5s (Blue+ x2, coral+, actinic, 6500k), plus an SBReef sbar actinic led bar. With just the 2 blue+, coral+ and actinic...it's a little too blue for me. The 6500k really can wash out all the other bulbs...but I still feel I get good pop out of the corals...but not as intense as running all blues/actinics. I have the sBar leds kick on first...followed by the the blue/actinic t5s...followed by the 6500k last. Gives a nice variation throughout the day. I also think fish colors look better in more of a 10k setting.
