We all have our favorite corals, or at least types of coral. For me, my favorites are the "jiggly" corals, like frogspawn, torch, and hammers. Tree-like soft corals (Sinularia, Nephthea, etc.) are also really cool to me. Though very popular now, I have never been a fan of chalices. I've owned 2, but was never attached to them. That's me. What are your faves and least favorites?

I love sps of any kind, and also have never been a huge fan of chalices. I like to see the pretty pics but never have any real interest in having them in my tank.

Love me some acros, especially milles!! Least favorite would have to be the octocorals that spread like weeds i.e. anthelia, gsp, xenia, etc.

lol the duncan I got from u is my favorite

I like most brain corals and some zoa, palys

least favorite is probably the colored sticks

I like SPS preferrably the hairy kind like milles. While I am not a fan of chalices I wouldn't say I dislike them. I think they are pretty little expensive cow pies with colored beads ;)

I would say I dislike GSP because I tried EVERYTHING except a blow torch to get them off a rock I have and they survive almost everything.

Favorite would have to be Maze brains allways liked them from kid to now. Least favorite would have to be Acans kinda counter culture but I think they look like old couches.

z&p's are fave never liked chalice or lobo in that nature although I do like sps (only millies when the have long extended polys)

I can't really think of a coral that I don't like or find interesting, However, I am an SPS nut, I particularly like contrasting colors SPS's like Bonsai were the tips, body and polyps are a different colors.

I personally love the lps'. Can not stand the xenia!! I thought it was so cool at first, now I through away a cup a week! Blah to the xenia!

I have taken to acans, although I lost my first one I hope to be able to get more some time.

Contrasting colored chalices and stag acros are my favorites. I think least favorite would be snake polyps.

Def snake polyps. My favorite would be the all time infamous superman danae.

My most favorite are my colorful sticks. So many different variations of colors and shapes. Growing them out from frags is really rewarding. As far as chalices, love em! But sticks take the prize.

Least favorite I would have to say (sorry softie lovers!!!!) are leather corals. They just look so bland sometimes. The really big colonies look like piles of skin.

This is really cool. I think I've learned 2 things so far:

1) People are very different in what they like coral-wise; and
2) We seem to have our favorites and stick pretty closely with them, doesn't seem to be a lot of mixing

We all have things that grab us. Keep it coming!

Sticks & any one-of-a-kind colorful corals _ Fav :still_dreaming:

Can't say I "hate" corals altho' there's one particular unrelated specimen - certain homosapien Reef Haterz lurking in the reef community tho' _ Dislike:hell_boy:

I've got a thing for LPS that move and especially hammers. I have a love-hate relationship with millepora. I've finally got one to start going well, but I've lost so many.
