Favorite Encrusting corals

ok, I have my hammmer, torch, Duncan, and a few other lps, I haven’t gotten any encrusting type yet, I do have a montipora cap but it’s going to plate up, so what are some favorites? I’ve been thinking about a Jedi mind trick monti and a leptoseris or leptastrea? Does leptastrea encrust? Decisions decisions, I have a 65 gallon DT with a 32” sbreef led

My WWC Rainbow Madness Cyphastrea. I really enjoy the colors in it and it sure doesn't hurt that it's a fast grower!

I have mind trick montipora and love it. It can be a very slow grower even in prestine conditions. Mystic sunset montipora has been the best for me, great color and very fast grower. Also Sunset montipora and Rainbow montipora are all great encrusters.

My sunset monti is my favorite too. Beautiful colors, fast growing, great pe. I have a Superman monti that I placed on the back wall that’s encrusted about an inch or two in diameter in about 3 months. I feel like it’s a much slower grower. Not sure if that’s attributed to its placement on the back wall or what. But it’s nice. Also have a really pretty green leptastrea, and man oh man is that thing slooooooooooowwwwwww growing.

I have a orange leptoseris and its a great coral that grows and encrusts relatively fast. Meteor shower cyphastrea are excellent also and fast growing. My favorite are chalices though.

I do like the orange leptoseris, looks like they would glow under the blues

A montipora will definitely be one of them
