So I really didn't want to set up a gfo or carbon reactor, but I think I'm gonna need one for at least GFO.

What do you guys like to use? I'd rather get a quality product once. Are there ways to combine them into one reactor? My system is around 150ish gallons of actual water.

Is any gfo media better than others? I've heard the ROX carbon is the best.
What do people use for a pump to push the water through?

Thanks everyone.

+1 for the BRS reactors, off a manifold from the return pump

BRS reactors are cheap and easy to set up!

Ok BRS sounds reasonable. Do you have pictures of your setups for how you plumbed it? I have the new L1 ecotech that I still have not hooked up yet, so I'd like to make sure I plan for this feature.

It's a good thing I've procrastinated hooking up the new return.

My tank is down right now because we just moved and I haven't setup the new tank yet, so no I don't.

This was my basement sump set up. The Reactor is on the left hanging on the board

What sizes are your systems? Mine is around 150 gal and I wonder if canisters provide for enough GFO?
Also, I do run some chaeto so I likely have some ability to run less gfo.

For those running off a manifold, do you have pics how the input for canisters is hooked into pump output? Maybe it's better/easier to just use maxijet?

BRS DUAL reactor hard plumbed with a Spears gate valve for full control and it's running off a Sicce Syncra Silent 1.5 (367gph) water pump.
