I’m going to stick my fuge with some algae in the coming weeks and looking for some feedback on what other reefers prefer and use. I want something that pods love, maybe a mangrove if they aren’t too much work and if there’s something I can feed the fish that’d be pretty cool too.

What do you guys do?

Chaeto is probably best at nutrient export and makes a great home for pods. Give it a little trim one a month to keep it growing. It likes iron so if you see it starting to turn pale brown and fall apart it might need a drop or two of iron. Just watch that as ots easily overdosed. Sea lettuce is good food for tisbe pods, amphipods, and vegetarian fish. Some macro like halimeda can go sexual if water quality isn't great and stable. Mangrove is OK but keep the leaves from dropping in the fuge otherwise all those nutrients go right back into the water.
