Favorite heater for 20 gallon nano

As some know I have a sumpless nano 22 gallon build and I have a aqueon preset heater that I can use but curious if anyone has any other suggestions that is not big. I will be running an apex as well.

I have had lots of luck with an eheim jaeger heater in a 10 gal freshwater setup. Hardly any fluctuations in temperature. They are a little bit bigger but it fit in my 10 gallon tank just fine. Personally Cobalt is a little too expensive for me but they do have some great reviews. Im planning on purchasing a couple aqueon pro heaters for my new 40 gal saltwater setup. Heater is one thing I would not cheap out on and maybe even look into getting a heater controller, I use the ink bird and would definitely recommend it. For only $30 you prevent your livestock from being boiled when the heater fails.

Cobalt BRS did a heater video i have changed heater in my 29 every 6 months to a year the Cobain i still going strung after a year

I used an eheim jager 75W in my 20g Nuvo. It keeps the tank very stable at 77.5-78.5.

Tank is by the living room slider door. Today that door has been open all day and house temp is 68F and tank is still right there at 78F. While my planted freshwater that doesn’t have a heater in it is at 72F (shrimps and puffer love it).

It barely turns on if the air is set to the usual 73 while we are home or 78 while we are at work.

I would go with the cobalt. I'm actually going to buy one today for my Nuvo 20. Currently using eheim Jager but it is too tall to cover the minimum line in the AIO chamber and in the tank it's to tall to be able to close the top. It is laying horizontal at the bottom back of the tank and I'm tired of it. This is a 100 watt. The 75 watt fit but didn't keep a stable temp. The 75 watt EJ works just fine in my Nuvo 14. Of course all depends on your ambient room temp. If you can get away with a 75 watt then I definitely recommend the EJ.

good to know! On all my past large tanks I’ve used the eheim jager but they tend to be big and bulky hence why with my new sumpless build I was a little worried. But it doesn’t seem that the 75watt one is too big.

good to know. I usually keep my place at 71 to 73. I love ej heaters from past large builds but they’re bulky and this is a sumpless nano build so space is not on my side here haha

Mine barely fits back there but it does. You can see the top just sticking out of the tank but is fully submerged and ato won’t let the water go down far enough to be exposed.
