Favorite Shallow Water Wrasse, Reef Safe with Caution

I have a Vloriks Wrasse in my ten-foot shallow reef. I want some more rare wrasse, but I don't want deep water fish in my shallow tank.

Any suggestions?

Agreed.

Xenojulis margaritacaea is an uncommon species that is found in very shallow water. Most wrasses that retail under $75 will be a shallow water species.

Halichoeres Timorensis is not very common and the adult male coloring is beautiful.

I will get a cover, thanks. The tank is not full because my sump still isn't finished being built. I ordered it about a week ago. This tank is a new upgrade.

Any sand sleeping wrasse is most likely a shallow water wrasse and is most likely to be found around some beautiful areas of pure sea grass and the odd rock or two.
Probably something close to this is what I picture when I think of where shallow wrasses are found.

Have you considered a leopard wrasse? They would look great in your system.
