Three of my least helpful invert as far as CUC goes, but really fun to watch.

What are your favorite inverts? Talking not CUC. Like one of mine is Halloween Hermit. Think they are so cool.

Thinking of setting up a nano tank that is mainly special inverts. No fish. So getting ideas!
An invert tank? Why not combine that with a live rock and live sand hitchhiker tank (I love hitchhikers, especially those on Florida live rock and ocean live sand).

Anyways, I enjoy sand dollars… which barely anyone (myself included) owns.

No actually it won't be an invert tank. I'm planning to setup a Macro Algae tank, but because you can have inverts in with it, I plan on putting some special ones in there to give some life to the tank as well :)

Sounds fantastic! Make sure you can provide enough nutrients for the macroalgae (that might be a problem without fish).
Also, another suggestion. Try brown macroalgae (blue scroll, scroll algae, sargassum, etc.). It’s underrated in my opinion and I think it looks great!

I want a Pom Pom but are they safe around wrasses?
I have a murderous wrasse that consistently killed all inverts (including emerald crabs), never looked twice at either of my pom poms. I think it was bc the crabs only really only came out at the very beginning and end of the photo periods. I would not risk it again.

I'll be dosing. As far as brown macroalgae, we'll see. I have alot in mind as to what I'm going to have in there.

dont serpents eat fish? i def like the porcelain crabs
Mine did not. It lived with a maroon clown, a couple wrasse and a starry blenny. It came from a very large tank with large and small fish before I had it.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with a mantis shrimp :). I used t keep Bruce in a macro algae tank before moving him into his new deluxe home

Always been afraid of mantis breaking through the tank or hurting my hand lol

I’ve heard it’s a myth about the tanks...but that’s gotta hurt on the hand. I think I saw a vid of one drawing blood...
I want one...

Well I mean there’s more to mantises than their amazing destructive capabilities...but that’s a really big part lol. Us humans are strange.
I like dangerous animals, they’re just fascinating! Why I kept a piranha and would love a shark!

I've always wanted certain eels. There is one down at my LFS that has bit them when feeding and hes apparently the type that its toxic, so it wasn't good on the LFS owner, but of course that just made me want him even more. He was gorgeous. But alas, i'll probably never have one.

No I've looked into Mantis before and its really not about them hurting us that makes me not want one, more so about any fish they can kill. Granted this tank doesn't plan to have any fish, but I may end up putting a goby in there with a pistol shrimp, haven't decided yet.

Whoa, not sure I've seen these like ever. Are these reef safe?
They are. I have had several pedersons. They are better suited to 30 gallon or smaller systems since they don’t get very big.
we used to have them in a 10 gallon seahorse and invert tank
