So I'm thinking of upgrading tanks soon when I move this summer. Cant decide on tank size, I want something under 90 Gal.

I like cubes and the idea of a tank with more depth, my 12 inch 55gal just isn't wide enough.

Not apposed to shallow tanks either, 16, 18inch depth!

Let me know what your favorite size is!

My first 2-3 saltwater tanks were of the 35-55 gallon sizes which were 12" wide, I remember my first 18" wide tank. It was heaven having that extra 6".
Then I found a 24" wide tank and now I'm into 30" wide tanks.
You see where I'm going here?
Whatever size, go wide, just as wide as possible. Look into a custom size.

+1 same here now I am up to 36'' wide

Go as big as you can. IMO under 90 means 90. You would be happier with a 120 though. I guarantee it.

If you like cubes id recommend the deep blue edge rimless 60 gallon. 24x24x24 gives me room to work around with and I also upgraded from a 55 gallon.

Don't talk me into a huge tank guys!! I don't think im ready for a 100+ yet! But I agree I really want a deep look, I think it would be a nice change

The 120 is like a combination of both worlds.
It's only 4' long, but has the space ( front to back ) like a big tank.
I've always wanted one, and still may be one in my future.

I downsized from a house to an apartment and downsized from the DSA 175g to a planet aquarium 75g rimless. It's got an external overflow so I leaves you with all the internal room. It's 48"x18"x21". Just right if you're a little tight on space.

Ive always liked 40 gallon breeders. 18inches wide and 36 long. i finally upgraded my 20 gallon to a 40 breeder and love it. My favorite size is the 90 gallon. that will be my next step for sure

This sounds like a great tank. The height is perfect. I promoted 120 earlier but I should of mentioned that the height is just a smidge too high and changing things around is sometimes a pain in the neck.

You know.....90g I think is 48X24X18. Those are some sexy dimensions right there. /purr

Im gunna say a 120g for sure that 48x24x24 is smexy...I started out with a 10g, went to a 29g, then to a 55g, moved....got a 20g Long, then went to a 40g lol. My next and final tank will be a 120g, just gotta wait to move again haha. Silly military, always moving me around! lol. Good luck with whatever you do though. Basically imagine your 55g with an extra 1foot of width..now that would be sweet haha.

That 75gal rimless is hot!!

My biggest concern is I am a college student at Florida State, and next year I will be living in a house with my brother and two friends. We do Party a lot and will be involved in greek life.... My concern is if I put the tank in the living room a beer will find its way into the tank or somehow somebody will mess with it so im leaning twords getting a canopy.

I like the rimless look but I feel like a Canopy would be the only way to add some protection to the tank.
