When I feed the fish/tank... It's awesome watching those fish flash in a good way.

Then again I've got one about 3' from where I lay my head at night. ;)

Night time, with a flashlight for me!

I finally have lights on my tank that do a reasonable imitation of the sun going down. The crepuscular period is my favorite, with markedly different fish behaviors. For those that had to look up crepuscular ...... You're welcome :D. Could be worse - you could be my kids!

I will have to look crepuscular up now, I thought it was a term referring to animals that are active during twilight, making twilight your favorite viewing period.

Of course, college was decades ago for me and I now often forget where my keys are, so my recall may be suspect.

My LPS and Clams are prettiest under full light, so I voted mid day... but that's not the entire truth of the matter. My fishes, I like to watch them eat, and I do that under blue light, towards the end of the day. I enjoy looking at micro fauna, all the small critters that come out at night, which I do by flashlight. At night, in the main tank, or more commonly, mid day, in the refugeum (inverse lighting schedule).

Back when I had seahorses, the mated pairs would entwine their tails and parade around the tank together just after sunup each morning... that was very cool to watch.
