Multibarred Angel, never will have for the obvious issues. I'd love to have an Annularis as well, but no-no in a reef and I don't have a FOWLR that's 200+ gallons.
red coris wrasse is #1 ... multibarred angel #2 ... have come so close to pulling the trigger on juveniles of either, so many times. But in the end, caution always wins.
never had just one fish that i had to have, and that i could not justify having.
now if you ask me to give you a list of fish id like to put in my new tank.... youd see where my real problem is..... its not having one problem fish, i would be that none of the fish would get along lol!
i love wrasses, mostly fairy wrasses and i would want to have everyone of them i could find! cept the males would just fight.... im deff gonna have a harem of one kind or another... just tough to pick!
Well I have had a cuttle fish, and YES they are as cool as people think. But you will spend way too much on food. I finally got mine to eat processed foods until one bad batch of krill killed him and two triggers the same day. Completely my fault for not throwing it away after the *#@$% freezer stopped working.
Morish Idols are being kept by a friend of mine right now. She still has Two and is on this site.
I have tried a few Red Coris Wrasse juv, with little success. They have only lasted 4 months at the longest.
But my number one would have to be to successfully breed Yellow or Purple Tangs(or a hybrid or the two). I currently have two pairs, but am learning that my 300 gallon tank is not big enough to induce spawning.
I would go with a dragon moray, tasseled wobby, pacific sea nettle jellyfish, magnificent cuttle fish, and the orca whales are a real far out there thing put a pod would be a nice addition(just kidding). my all time favourite fish is the sooter mandarin, a fish that has been in my tank since its conception.
I would have to go with the Queen Triggerfish, Wobbegong shark, Goliath Grouper, or a BiColor Parrotfish. An LFS by me has a Queen trigger and a wobbegong...both are HUGE. Need at least 300+ gallons for either one of those.
