What type of hermit crabs do you like and why? Must have members of a reef cleanup crew???

I'm very happy with my Nassarius/Trochus/Cerith/Conch/Emerald Crab mix. I've got baby Trochus and I saw some Nassarius snail eggs on the glass today. Hopefully I get some of those reproducing also. I've seen the Conchs mating but no eggs. The Cerith are laying eggs like crazy but I don't think any are getting past the planktonic stage. Haven't tried any hermits yet but as far as looks the electric blue or dwarf blue legs are my favorites.

I have 3 or 4 different species of hermits scuttling about my tank and as far as function goes the scarletts are my favorite but they're almost entirely nocturnal so I never see them. My favorite as far as form and function is my Halloween hermit. Sure its a bit of a wrecking ball but it's very pretty, always out on display, and a veritable vacuum cleaner. My other indispensable reef cleaner is the money cowery, these are certainly nocturnal but clean a silly amount of algae every night.

My favorite cleanup crew is VODKA.....

Inverts last about 12mos tops before they die and it's a pain-in-the-... to clean out empty shells that go under LR and you can't get to them with your hands

Vodka is a trusty old friend that gets rid of the algae by starving it out

Favorite member of my clean up crew is my pom pom crab. He mops up things with his little anemones. He's not as hard a worker as most of the rest of my crew but he's the coolest.

No hermits, they're little demons who steal food from my LPS and attack snails. I'm not convinced hermits are needed, snails and urchins do a better job of clean up anyways.
